Which defects does the APK inspector find most often? We counted 6,857,004 inspected passenger cars aged 3 and older (Oct 2025 – Sep 2026). The most common defect: “Bandenspanning niet op juiste waarde”, on 7.5% of cars.

What does this mean for a buyer?
Common B defects like tyres, bulbs and wipers are cheap and say little about the car. At a viewing focus on the A points: rust on load-bearing parts, play in steering and suspension, brake lines and shock absorbers. Per model CarXray shows which points occur more often than average on that model.
