Windows and visibility at the APK

In Oct 2025 – Sep 2026 the APK inspector recorded a windows and visibility defect 350,348 times, across 6,857,004 inspected passenger cars. On 76 model generations it occurs clearly more often than average.

What is it?

Chips or cracks in the windscreen in the field of view, or worn wipers.

Repair indication: smallusually a small repair, often done with the service.

How to check it at the viewing

Look for chips and cracks especially in the driver’s field of view. Test the wipers and washers.

Ask the seller: Has the windscreen been replaced, or have chips been repaired?
